- Design a precision optic mount for 34mm tubular optics.

- Withstand at least 30 ft-lbs of energy and heavy vibrations.

I led the design of a precision optic mount for 34 mm tubular optics, engineered to withstand high-impact loads and severe vibration in demanding operating environments. The objective was to deliver a robust, universally compatible mounting solution capable of resisting at least 30 ft-lb of energy while maintaining alignment integrity.

The resulting design features a CNC-machined, anodized 7075 aluminum body for high strength, corrosion resistance, and durability in harsh outdoor conditions. The modular mount supports universal 34 mm tubular optics, incorporates a flat top surface for straightforward calibration and balance, and uses multiple fasteners to ensure stability under heavy vibration and impact. The design complies with STANAG 2324 / MIL-STD-1913 standards for broad platform compatibility, with chamfered edges to enhance user comfort and handling, particularly in cold environments.
